Casting Notices
New to Cast Forward? Here’s What You Need to Know (Especially About Casting Notices)
Welcome! If this is your first time reading a Cast Forward casting roundup, I want to make sure everything is super clear—because Cast Forward is not a casting platform. It’s something far more valuable.
Cast Forward is a masterclass-meets-membership: a strategic learning platform and career hub built specifically for actors. It blends expert coaching, career planning, insider industry insights, casting tools, and visa strategy into one powerful resource—delivered by me, a career consultant, coach, and fellow union actor.
Think of me as your personal acting career consultant—at a fraction of the price my private clients pay.
That said, I believe in transparency: not every actor, especially early on, can afford one-on-one consulting—just like not every new actor can hire a publicist right away. That’s why I created Cast Forward: to bridge that gap and give you structured, affordable guidance you can grow with—until you’re ready for deeper, one-on-one support.
So Why Do I Include Casting Notices?
Because it’s part of my job as an acting career consultant.
This is exactly what I do for my private clients—track verified opportunities, guide them on how to approach each one, and help them position themselves strategically. I built Cast Forward to offer that same level of insider support to a wider group of actors, at a much more accessible price.
And as a consultant, coach, and fellow union actor, I know firsthand how frustrating it can be to feel shut out of opportunities—especially when you don’t have reps or insider tools on your side. Unfortunately, much of the industry still runs on gatekeeping.
But not here at Cast Forward.
This platform exists to open doors, not keep them closed.
But here’s the thing:
If you’re not sure what an acting career consultant actually is, that’s where we need to start.
What Is an Acting Career Consultant?
An acting career consultant is like a strategist for your entire career—not just your next job. Think of it like hiring a financial advisor, career coach or private tutor.
I don’t submit you for work—I teach you how to find, approach, and land the work yourself, with strategy, clarity, and confidence. And at times, I even find the opportunities for you.
Here’s the breakdown:
Career Consultant (that’s me):
Helps you uncover real opportunities—from casting notices to industry leads—without acting as your rep, submitting on your behalf, or charging you commission fees.
Creates personalized career blueprints tailored to your needs and goals
Guides you on how to land work through strategy, outreach, branding, and positioning
Assists with finding the right talent representation based on where you are in your career
Supports actors applying for O-1 or EB1A visas with expert guidance and strategy
Offers tools, insight, and game plans so you can take confident action
And much more—click here to view the full list of services
Think: I’ll teach you how to fish, show you where to fish—and at times, find you the fish.
Agent or Manager:
Submits and pitches you for jobs
Has exclusive industry connections and gets you in the room
Negotiates contracts on your behalf and earns a commission from your bookings
Think: I’ll catch the fish for you.
Casting Platform:
A searchable database of opportunities
You—or your rep—submit directly through the platform
The platform doesn’t advocate for you—it simply delivers access
Think: Here’s the ocean—go fish.
As a consultant, I help you fish smarter—so you don’t waste time casting your line where there are no bites.
Why There’s a Paywall (And Why That’s Not Gatekeeping)
Because you’re not paying for casting notices or auditions—you’re paying me to hunt down those opportunities and for the expert services I provide as your acting career consultant.
The casting notices are just one piece of what you’re getting. What you’re really paying for is access to expert-level strategy, tools, and personalized career guidance—delivered through this premium newsletter.
It takes time, expertise, and funding to access, verify, and deliver these listings. I pay out of pocket for professional databases and do the legwork myself. That’s what your membership supports: the behind-the-scenes work it takes to deliver real value.
The castings I share are union-approved when applicable, and occasionally include verified non-union projects—always with a legal, no-cost way to apply, whether or not you have representation. Some are technically public, but full submission details—especially verified contacts—often require deeper digging that most actors don’t have the time, tools (such as IMDbPro and others), or access to do themselves.
And when casting professionals choose to share breakdowns with us directly—something that happens from time to time—we’re proud to pass those trusted opportunities along to our premium members.
Why? Because casting directors, like recruitment agencies, are always hunting for talent—and they know we reach serious, professional actors.
Think of Cast Forward’s “casting notices” like IMDbPro meets your personal career coach.
You’re not just getting access to auditions—you’re getting verified industry intel and the tools to take action, without the noise, confusion, or expensive subscriptions.
It’s about leveling the playing field for actors—especially those without reps, consultants, or costly memberships.
Bottom line?
You’re not paying for the fish—I’ve already found the fish.
You’re not even paying for the ocean.
You’re paying for someone to hand you the rod, show you the best spot, and whisper:
Here’s how to catch the big one—don’t blow it.
That’s Cast Forward.
Let’s build your career with clarity, confidence, and momentum—together.

🚨IMPORTANT INFORMATION🚨
Here, you’ll find a mix of recent and past casting opportunities, both union and non-union. Be sure to check the dates, as some may no longer be accepting submissions.
Please pay close attention to where each casting is located. Some opportunities are based in different countries, including the United States. If you are not a U.S. citizen and do not have the appropriate visa or work authorization (such as an O-1 visa or an EB-1A green card), do not submit to U.S.-based roles. Submitting without the proper paperwork can damage your relationship with casting directors. They’re often managing high volumes and expect actors to respect eligibility requirements. Always lead with professionalism.
Also, please note: some U.S. productions shoot in other countries, but that does not mean the American casting team is handling local roles. We often don’t know who is casting those parts internationally. If you’re based outside the U.S., it’s best to contact local casting directors in your city to inquire about potential involvement or ask your agent or representative to do so. Do not reach out to the American casting directors to ask about roles in your region—this is seen as unprofessional and can hurt your standing in the industry.
Always respect Cast Forward submission guidelines and demonstrate professionalism.
You’ll notice this isn’t just a list of casting notices. Every roundup comes with actionable insight—how to pitch yourself, when to involve your rep, and how to avoid common mistakes that could cost you a role. These are the types of strategies a cold breakdown won’t give you.
Only premium subscribers have access to this curated roundup as part of our coaching and strategy membership.
Submission to union jobs is always free through standard industry channels.
Please note that casting moves quickly—some roles may have already been filled, while others may not even be listed on official breakdowns yet. This gives you the advantage of reaching out early. However, don’t get discouraged—casting often continues even after a film has begun shooting, especially for smaller parts.
If you’re unable to reach casting directly via the provided email or don’t receive a response due to high volume, ask your agent to submit you through casting websites and check breakdowns for potential roles. With the project name and casting details below, your representative can locate it more easily and determine the best approach. If the listing isn’t on casting sites yet, they have direct contacts with casting directors and know how to reach them.
If you’re represented, let them pitch you—this is something my representative always does, whether the breakdown is up or not.
We always strive to find direct contacts, but when that’s not possible, we look for mailing addresses and official social media accounts to ensure you have every opportunity to connect with casting. Engaging with them on social media is a great way to build a relationship over time. I do it all the time.
PAY ATTENTION: Some casting directors are working on multiple projects—even when they’re listed under a single casting notice. Be sure to research their current work and tailor your email accordingly.
When reaching out to casting, NEVER attach your headshot and reel. Instead, do this:
“Here’s a quick look at my recent work/website: [Insert link—never attachments]”
Keep your email short and to the point. If you’re unsure how to write it, check out Section 4: Craft Emails That Command Attention and Want to Master the Art of Cold Emails? Here’s the Ultimate Guide for Actors.
⚠️ A quick reminder: Please don’t spam casting directors with emails. If you can’t get in touch, let your representation handle it.
In the Notes section, you’ll find details on when each project is set to start shooting.
We include all the details we receive—whether it’s loglines, project notes, contact email or any other helpful info—to give you the best shot at getting Cast Forward!
